DOLL COLLECTING

I collect Barbies, Genes and also bigger realistic dolls. These include dolls by Annette Himstedt, Ruth Treffeisen, Julie Good-Kruger, Helen Kish, Wendy Lawton, Peggy Dey, Tara and Philip Heath, Maggie Iacono, Jan McLean, Alice Lester, and Robert Tonner.

Here are some pictures of my dolls. Many are redressed in different clothing:

This is a group of dolls including Lisa by Philip Heath on the velvet chair, Lily 2 by Tara Heath on her lap, Laurel by Peggy Dey standing up with the long blonde hair, Andre by Ruth Treffeisen in the swing and Lonneke by Annette Himstedt on the horse.

This is another group of dolls sitting on the velvet sofa. Included are Oscar and Georgi by Himstedt, Christina by Heidi Pluschok, Lisenka by Elisabeth Lindner and Zaia by Carin Lossnitzer. Andre by Treffeisen is sitting on the easy chair in his summer outfit. There is also a cute picture of the two boys, Oskar and Georgi.

This is a picture of adorable Yolanda Casual sitting on my staircase next to my dog Gizmo.

Here is a picture of a doll I made. She is a hide-and-seek doll who is about two feet tall.

Here are several of my Mackie barbies. I have all of them but only these are out of the box.

This little guy, Matthew is a Little Soul and is posed sitting on a bicycle.

Here is a picture of one of the cabinets that my husband made me to store my many Barbies and Genes. This particular cabinet stores Barbies such as the Wizard of Oz set and has many of my vintage girls in their vintage clothing. My favorite is the blonde American Girl in the royal blue outfit called Midnight Blue. Here are some pictures of Skipper and two Kellys who have had repros of the Midnight Blue outfit also. Aren't they cute!

This is a new set I just got as a birthday present. It is the coke diorama which provides the backdrop and I have added the Coke Barbies and Ken to make the setting complete. The accessories are so cute.

Here is a picture of a mahogany winding staircase we found, on which I have posed vintage Barbie, Skipper, Ken and Skooter in vintage outfits.

FASHION REMAKES: These are remakes of popular Barbie, Ken or Skipper fashions which have been altered by me to fit the Kelly sized dolls. All outfits were sold with the doll in the picture. All outfits are removeable except where mentioned.

I have just started making some new dolls out of polymer clay. My friend Bonnie Justice taught me how and I love it! This vignette was an idea I had of a well balanced family unit, called "Family Harmony". The dolls and clothes were made by me. They are miniature 1:12 scale size and the vignette is about 6 inches wide and 7 inches tall.

BEANIE BABIES

I also collect beanie babies. I only buy the ones I personally like, not all of them. Below are two pictures of the ark my husband built and I painted. I really need to ask him to make me another one because my beanie population has doubled!
