MINI ROOMBOXES PART TWO

Working with dollhouse size roomboxes has been so much fun for me that I have converted almost entirely to that scale. I still make some Barbie scale accessories but no more dioramas. They take up too much room.

This is a mini kitchen scene made in a brownie box. The yummy cake pieces are from kandjminis and the table, chair and pantry are hand painted by me. If you look closely you can see the recipe file and the boxes of teas. There is a calendar and clock on the wall.

This is a laundry room made out of a laundry bottle. It has the washer and dryer in it plus an ironing board and iron. There are detergent boxes and dryer sheets as well as lots of laundry being folded. Under the table are boots left there to dry. Here is a second laundry room box which I made for someone else. I put a few different details in as you can see from the closeup.

Here is another project I have done. It is a Happy Birthday scene in a gift bag. Inside the bag, which is lit, there is a table with a birthday cake and candles, plates, birthday hats, balloons, a basket filled with presents and a CD player with CDs.

This is another gift bag project. This one is a beach scene. In the bag, which is lit, the floor is sand and there is a little Kelly doll sitting under a beach umbrella. She has her pail with little shells and her sand castle. Sitting on her blanket with her is a pizza and soda.

This is yet another gift bag project. This one was a present for a friend whose daughter just had a baby boy. In the bag, which is lit, the floor is tiled the room is wallpapered. The room has baby furniture including a playpen, dresser and rocking horse. There is a child in the playpen and diapers and toys on the dresser.

These were Christmas presents to friends. One is a gift bag with a fireplace, lots of presents and a Christmas tree. The other three are in boxes. The mantles have stockings which have friend's family's names on them. There are two pictures of the last one I finished. My friend has six children and getting all those stockings on the fireplace was not easy!

This is a Harry Potter shadowbox. It is dedicated to my sweet Jami because this was the last book I was reading to her before she died. I hollowed out the book to fit the Harry Potter doll and some minis. Included over the outer frame are miniatures of spell books, his cape, glasses and lots more. First is a pic of the whole shadowbox and then there are closeup pics of it.

This is another shadowbox which I have made to sell. It is a travel shadowbox. At the top is a title "The Roads We Have Traveled". Inside the carved AAA book are foods and two lil cars.

And here is yet another shadowbox I have made to sell. It is a baking/cooking shadowbox. At the top is the title "Taste Makes Waist". Inside the carved muffin box is a muffin tin with baking cupcakes, a cookie sheet with cookies ready to go into the oven and a box of brownies from the my bakery. On top of the muffin box are a plate of black and white cookies (yummmy- my favorites) and on the other side of the cookbook is a chocolate iced bundt cake.

This is a new roombox which is a cookout scene which I have made in a cut down styrofoam picnic cooler. The picnic table is made from popsicle sticks, the pool from four rubber little girl bracelets and the coleman cooler is a printable.

This is a roombox I made with the help of my friends. The first picture is of the market as a veggie and fruit stand. I combined my friend Lauriel's marketplace with contributions from MCC club members. The lovely swaps were made by Abbigale, Tina, Lisa, Kristy, Sheila, Laura, Sherri, Rusty, Pauline, Dianne, Margaret, Ilse, Cheryl, Karen Bainbridge, Jennifer, Gilda, Karen Brown, Terri, Marlene, Gail, Cleacia, Rolande, Pat, Luba, Cher, Bobbi, Gale, Ann, Martha and Norma. I made the larger marketplace stand, the tables and several of the fruits and veggies. The next pictures show the enlarged marketplace with the addition of a meat stall. Thanks to friends Nicki, Jennifer, Anamari and Sherry for their contributions, in addition to my items. As you can see it is a very crowded marketplace.

And here is another roombox made with contributions from the Miniature Collector's Club library swap. Some of the items were made by people from the MCC club including Linda Austin, Jeanne Guest, Pat Woodby, Nikki Bradley, Pam Tinney, Rusty, Lisa Thompson,Dianne Collette, Lorraine Johnston, Cher Blank, Brigette Brackett, Gilda Pafford, Margaret Rogers, Paty Cranford, Luba Barnes, Norma Guertin, JoAnne Mason, Leslie Zeigler, Cleacia Birkett and Pauline C. The roombox is in a beautiful leather case. Many of the books are printables. Most of the trophies are made from sculpey.

This is my first attempt at 1:144 scale. I made a tiny library sort of like the big one above. I made the leather case out of a mints tin. The lil library has rows of books, a desk with leather chair and a rug. There is a picture of it alone and with the bigger library.

This idea came from a tiny frame I found. We enlarged the idea and cut it out of wood and then built a box in back of it. I added a sewing store scene in the box. This is 1:12 scale.

This is a little idea I came across and had to try for myself. It is a plant stand made from a baby's overalls. They are stiffened and then a plant is set into them. It is about 2 feet high.

And this is a mini of my overall plantstand. Isn't it adorable!!! It is about 3 inches tall. Here is a pic of the mini and one of both together.
