HAWAII TRIP - CHRISTMAS 2004

It was wonderful to have the family together to share Christmas 2004 in Maui, Hawaii. Below are pictures of land and water fun:

Here are some pics of Kelli and I learning to surf. It was so much fun, I cannot wait to try it again:

We took a trip to the Iau Valley which is very close to Kapului. It is so pretty to hike the short walk and see all the lovely flora. Below are several pics of the valley. There is one of my son David standing at the lookout for the Iau Needle and another of me dipping my feet in the river. The last is of David and me in the valley......he is just so handsome!

One of the days, Kelli, David and I went on a hike near Makena Beach, which is near Kihei. Here are some pics of our hike and of the beautiful Makena Beach. Notice the sign near the hike!

These raccoon butterflyfish were found in the Molikini Crater, off Maui.

This orangespine unicornfish was found diving the waters of Lanai.

This parrotfish looks like he has makeup on his face. They have strong teeth to chomp on the hard coral.

This barred filefish was found at the Molikini Crater and this species can also be heard crunching on hard coral

All in all it was a fantastic trip and it was great to spend time and have fun with the family.
