BOB'S TRAIN LAYOUT
This is a layout that I have been working on for a couple of years. It is about 60% complete at this point. It is my first attempt at making a layout since childhood and I have had a few setbacks such as our house fire where I had to start from scratch again. It is an O Gauge layout with Gar-Graves track and Ross Custom Switches. Overall size is about 7 by 13 feet.
This picture shows one part of my layout as of December 1999. Here is the mountain, factories and farmland.

These two pictures show closeups of Park Street and the train yard. The Park Street picture gives you a different view of the town including White Castle Drive In, a house under construction, the corner drugstore, the park, the high school, the gas station and A& W Drive In. The picture of the train yard shows the factories, sawmill and farm in the distance.
This picture is Main Street with the A&P Market, Post Office, bookstore, beauty salon and bank.

This picture is of me in one of the access holes(which will eventually be covered by scenery). I am making an adjustment to tunnel entrance in the mountain.
This picture is a view of my control panel with four transformers. The blue lines represent the track diagram with block and turnout switches.
There is still a lot of work to be done including wiring turnout LEDs, completing the four access hatches and finishing the scenery. This includes the river, mountain, adding the covered bridge, more background details, etc. My chief scenery adviser and helper is my talented wife, Fern.
Here is the next set of pictures of my layout as of December 2000. First is the shopping center, and a picture of the town. Next are pictures featuring the corner drugstore and the gas station. There is a closeup picture of the farm and one of the diner. The one of the park has lots of little details in it. Look carefully for the little boy in the peddlecar, the kids on the round ride, the people on the bench and the hot dog vender. Next is the picture featuring White Castle and the house with the addition being built. The last two pics are of the industrial park and of the train station with waiting platforms.
