MY ACTING CAREER

This page is a beginning chronicle of my roles in plays and movies within the last few years. I do not have pictures of my roles before that time, which included Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Sadie in My Cool Sadie and many more. Most of the photos are courtesy of Who Dunnit Murder Mysteries with a few taken by Tony Tannicone and a few by Steve Oliveira.

The first character mentioned is that of Buffy in "Fashion Show at the Castle of Blood". Buffy was the mother of two strange teenagers and a stranger husband who only mumbled. Buffy was obsessed with knives. Here is the cast picture of Castle of Blood with me second from the left, next to my hubby (pictures courtesy of Who Dunnit Murder Mysteries Inc.)

Next was my role in Its a Wonderful Death. This mystery was loosely based on Its a Wonderful Life and I played Violet, George Bailey's previous girlfriend. In this version, George plays a panel game with Satan and his friends and family, where he tries to find out who shot him so he can go back to Earth.
Here is the cast picture with me in the white hat.

Next was my role of Lena in Well Timed Murder, which was set in depression times and I was the wife of a much older farmer who had lost his money. I am in the orange dress, next to my daughter and husband, talking to my rich sister-in-law. Her husband was thought to be dying soon and everyone wanted to inherit his money. This play has been the longest running play of any of the Who Dunnit Mysteries was also performed again with a different cast and I played Sal, the thief. Here are pictures of both roles I played:

Here is a picture of me as Mrs Adelson's busybody friend in Mrs Adelson's Rose:

Another acting part pictured was Dottie, a "lady of the evening" in "Case of the Smoking Gunn". This was a murder mystery comedy about a sheriff and his deputy who try to solve the murder of the "Gov'ner" of the town. In the first picture, I am next to the sheriff's deputy who is discovered to be my son. We also preformed this play a few years later with another cast but I kept the same role. The second picture is with the second cast:

Fourth was one of my favorites, Murder by the Sea: A Dark Veil Mystery, with Dr Angus MacCrimmon as the detective. This was the first in the MacCrimmon set of mysteries and I played Chesney, a daughter of a wealthy family with many secrets. Here I am with Dr. McCrimmon, standing next to Father with Auntie in the foreground and my sister Melinda on the side and then alone.

The fifth play mentioned was Death to the Future, which was a satire on Back to the Future and I played the mother Lorraine. Here is a picture of me as Lorraine, mother of Marty McFly, with husband George, before the future got changed.

The role of Romaine in Witness for the Prosecution was one of my favorite roles ever. It included two accents and two distinct characters to play:the cold wife of the accused, Romaine and the crass cockney lady who handed in evidence against Romaine. Here are pics of me in both these roles.

The next role pictured was from The Case of the Double Crossing Crook where a convention of villains met together and tried to solve the death of their friend another villain. I played Rhonda, the actress. Here is a picture of me with my boa, posing with my son and then two of the entire cast.

The role of a crass disgusting landlady was my next role. I played this part in a movie titled Milo, filmed on location in Boston. Here are two views of my "lovely" costume and makeup.

The Christmas play of 2002 was the Nutcracker Sweet Murders and had words song to the Nutcracker Suite melodies. It was about two feuding families:the Nutcrackers and the Sweets. I was Pistachia Nutcracker. Here are pictures of the Nutcracker family and me as Pistachia:

The third MacCrimmon mystery was called Murder by Quarry and I played Duchess Henrietta Hollingsworth, an unhappily married woman whose husband was killed. Here are pictures of me with Dr MacCrimmon (John Los), and of me alone as the duchess:

We did a commercial for ASWaterman for the 2003 System Safety Conference, which was a parody on the television series "Providence" and I played Sydney Hansen's mother Lynda (Concetta Tomei in the series). Here are two pictures of the shots they used:

A different play we did was Ye Olde Murdyr Mysterie which was set in distant past in the year 1010. I played Auldwyn, the high priestess. Here is a cast pic and one of me as Auldwyn.

This is another play called Murder at Lenny's Cabaret. I played Lila Lottabucks. There are two action shots of the play, one of me with my husband Henry and one of me with my boyfriend Lenny.

Here I am in the role of Leticia Gravestone in the fourth Dr. MacCrimmon mystery, The Case of Nigel Drew. Being a Halloween show, this play had very unusual characters. There are pics of me and one of the cast. As you can see I had another "flattering" costume:

The next two plays were performed with the Little Theatre of Fall River. The first one, Ladies at the Alamo was my favorite role since I played Aldonza in Man of La Mancha. There were five women in the cast and I played Bella, the drunken best friend of the manager of the Alamo Theatre. What a fun role to play! Here I am taunting Shirley with a gun, insulting Suits and with Dede and Joanne in the finale of act 2.

The second play was Pinocchio which was an original screenplay with wonderful original music also. I played Luciana and an innkeeper's wife and I was also in the chorus. The pictures are of me as Luciana criticizing a fruit seller and at the finale of a song.

Next was Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream (July 2005) which was performed at Little Theatre of Fall River. I played Peter Quince which was a fun role. The pictures are of me with Bottom and of me addressing the wedding party.

Then I was in Agatha Cristie's The Hollow (May 2006). This was an extremely difficult play to learn lines for. My character, Lucy Angkatell, the matriarch of the family, was senile and tended to ramble on with unrelated lines. SHe also had a ton of props each entrance she made. The play was 3 hours long. It was produced by Somerset Players. Here is the entire cast, then me as Lucy with Howard, playing the butler Gideon and then with Elvira as Doris the maid.

Another play we just finished (March 2007)was Seven Keys to Baldpate. This was also produced by Little Theatre of Fall River. I played Mrs Rhodes. The cast was wonderful as was the director Jennifer Bellanti. The play was performed on the big stage at Bristol Community College. The first pic is of the cast in our Seven Keys T shirts. Next is a partial cast with from left to right, me, Sarah as Mary, Seth as the junior officer, Katie as Myra, Roger as Hayden and Tim as McGee. And the last pic is of me as Mrs Rhodes.

I will continue to update this page with new roles I play. I have also performed in a film "Guilty Pleasures". Pictures will be forthcoming if available.
